Photoshop

PHOTOSHOP IS NOW IN MY POSSESSION.

I've been fiddling with it for two days and I have NO idea what I'm doing. :P I am amassing tutorials in my favorites though so I hope to get somewhere....eventually.

The itchy, squirmy feeling of starting at square #1 in the art department doesn't sit well with me. At least when I try other physical artistic mediums, I can guess how they will work and draw on my knowledge from other mediums I'm familiar with. Not so in the digital world. My cut and paste skills help me not.

OMG, WHAT THE WHAT! Which Photoshop do you have, and what would you like to do with it? Try not to be intimidated. The first time I played with it I felt like I was sitting in the space shuttle, with all the buttons and gizmos everywhere. I was overwhelmed enough to step away from it for a long time, and have only gotten back into it with any sort of purpose over the last couple of years. It's a wonderful program, and once you grasp what it can do and how to achieve certain things, it does all the heavy lifting. Photoshop is like having the Green Lantern's power ring: If you can imagine it, you can create it.

I have a couple of Photoshop magazines I put online to help friends who were new to the program. They're in pdf format and full of step-by-step tutorials. I can PM the links to you if you're interested in reading them?
